Museum Pass Policy

You must have a current Keyport Library Card in good standing to place a reservation. The pass can only be reserved with an adult resident library card. A pass cannot be reserved with a juvenile card. Passes may be reserved in person at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 732 – 264 – 0543. The number of people admitted to a museum per pass depends on the museum pass. See museum-specific details below. There is no charge to reserve a museum pass. Only one museum pass per household may be checked out at one time. If a pass is not returned on time, a fine of $5.00 per day will be charged up to a maximum of $25.00. If the pass is not returned or if it is stolen, lost, or damaged, the patron will be charged the cost of replacement.

You must present the library card used when reserving the pass to pick up your pass at the adult circulation desk.

Passes must be picked up the day prior to the “Day of Use”. The “Day of Use” is the day you plan on visiting the museum. Passes may be picked up on the following schedule:

  • Monday, Thursday, & Friday between 3 PM & 5 PM.
  • Tuesday & Wednesday between 4 PM & 9 PM.
  • Saturday between 11:30 AM & 1 PM.

Passes must be returned to the circulation desk (DO NOT PUT IN BOOK RETURN) by :

  • Saturday – 11 AM
  • Monday, Thursday (Wednesday only if Tuesday is a holiday) – 1 PM
  • Tuesday, Friday – 2:30 PM

Passes will be considered overdue if not returned by the correct time and an overdue fine will be charged. If the library is closed, the pass must be returned by the correct hour on the next day the library is open.

Passes are not renewable.


GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE – $300.00 – 4 Persons any age.

MONMOUTH MUSEUM – $300.00 – 2 Adults & 2 Children (under 18 years of age).

Pass provides free entry for 2 adults and 2 children (under age 18).
Pass can be used for regular admission only. Fees for additional programs are not included.
Library Pass visitors must show current Library Card, photo ID and provide email address upon entering the Museum.
Library Pass visitors must obey all rules of the Museum.
Library Pass families are limited to 2 visits per year, per library.

NEW YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM & LIBRARY & DIMENNA CHILDREN’S HISTORY MUSEUM – $160.00 – 2 Adults & 4 Children (Under 18 years of age).

Museum pass is good for:

  • Discounted guest tickets: $18 adult, $13 child
  • 10% discount on Family Memberships for library patrons
  • Issues of the Museum’s Newsletter, Intrepid Advancements
  • Notification of all public and family programming and education Demonstrations

PLEASE NOTE: The membership is only valid for admission at the Intrepid Museum.
It does not include Member Events, Special Programs, Simulators or Guided Tours.

From time to time, certain areas within the museum will close for maintenance, construction, new exhibit development or special events.
The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day.
